Wednesday

WHEW! Wednesday? & A Dessert Recipe!

In my mind y'all, it's still Sunday night! I can't believe I forgot it was even Tuesday and didn't add my in your neck of the woods yesterday! ZOMG. I am so glad Mrs. A had some time to put together some great shots for you yesterday, and even cute-n' them up so much!

(Pool time!)

(Some shots from our little show (-:)

And, so, it's no surprise I am still on re-coup from the weekend. I am currently sunburned. And I put on A LOT of sunscreen. Somehow, I am the only one in the family. Perplexing, I know.

(Not pretty!)

Also, I am currently overly exhausted. Over the weekend, we had a lot of fun with family....but also I had to buy a new car. Remember mine was totaled back on the 23rd? Yes, this whole thing is on-going. I truly hate car shopping with every fiber of my being. If one more car man calls me again I may lose it. We were able to find one, thank goodness, and picked it up Saturday morning. It's just like my old one, but silver instead of white. After visiting my sad car to collect all our valuables, stuffed rabbits, and baseballs; I determined then I loved it too much to not just get the same thing. Is it weird I have such an affection for that car? I don't know. I'm just a car loving kind of girl. Some people are and some aren't. In my case, I grew up around them as my dad worked finance for a dealer. Plus, I spend more time in my car sometimes than at home!

Boo-hoo

YAY!!! We're done!

By now, you must be able to tell I am tired because I am babbling along. You know what the point of this post was when I started?  It was to give you a recipe! Ha! While enjoying the family, fun & fireworks, of course we had great food for the 4th. Didn't you? I am going to close this random post with the recipe I originally wanted to share with you. It is very easy, and very yummy. We call it Danish Cake; but you may know it as something else. Whatever you call it, it's SO good!

Ingredients:

  • Two 8-ounce tubes of crescent rolls
  • Two 8-ounce packages of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (plus) sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease 9 x 13 pan.
Separate 1 can crescent rolls. Press triangles together in a single
layer on bottom of pan. With electric mixer, combine
cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and egg. Spread in pan.
For the top layer use last can of crescents.
Be sure edges are pinched together.
Brush milk over dough. Sprinkle with sugar.
Bake for 30 minutes.

Enjoy the rest of your week like
